Tri-State Utilities® is a contracting firm based in Chesapeake Virginia that specializes in trenchless utility rehabilitation. Our services include, cleaning pipe, video inspection, testing & sealing, manhole rehabilitation, sliplining, pipe bursting and trenchless lining by both the Ultraliner PVC fold & form process and the C.I.P.P. Corp. cured in place process.
Tri-State Utilities® was formed in 1990 by Steve McSweeney. Prior to that, Steve had been in this line of work for fifteen years. Our superintendent and foremen all have similar experience. Over this period our personnel roster has grown to over 50 people, with very little employee turnover. All of our employees are trained in safety procedures and we employ a professional safety officer. We also operate a drug free work force and are very proud of our people and their accomplishments.
Most recently, in 1999, Tri-State was awarded NUCA's National Safety Award, and was named Hampton Roads Utility and Heavy Contractor Associations Contractor of the Year for 2000.
To operate effectively you also need good equipment. Tri-States fleet is state of the art. Our Vactors, inspection rigs, boiler trucks, winches, backhoes, and dump trucks are all up to date and maintained to eliminate costly down time.
